Big Pink & Local Hangouts: Walk by Big Pink and discover classic local spots like Ted’s Hideaway, Motek, and Call Me Gaby, learning about true local hangouts.
Lifeguard Towers: Photograph the colorful, architecturally distinct lifeguard towers that line the beach — iconic symbols of Miami Beach and great for practicing symmetry and framing.
Ocean Drive & Landmarks: Enter the heart of Ocean Drive, view the Colony Hotel where Capone reportedly entertained guests, pass the Diner and Mac’s Club Deuce, and see the Versace House and the Betsy Hotel, each with its own Miami Beach history.

Our Guiding Principles
Our photo walks prioritize hands-on learning, creative composition, and capturing Miami’s hidden stories.
Locations
Our photo walks move through Miami Beach’s iconic and lesser-seen streets, focusing on exterior scenes—from Art Deco facades to coastal edges—so you’re always shooting the city as it unfolds around you.
Collaborative Energy
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
Learn more about our walk stops and the hidden hideouts, local hotspots and urban ledgers we visit during our tour.
We read the city in layers, connecting its past to the present while learning practical, street-ready techniques.
Joe's Stone Crab, 11 Washington Ave
Capone dined here as “Al Brown,” arriving at 5 p.m. sharp, leaving flowers for Jennie Weiss on Mother’s Day. The restaurant’s restraint still feels like his own—understated power in a public place. Best: 50mm, f/5.6, ISO 200, 1/125s – clean separation of signage from street life, subtle fill flash on white walls.
Big Pink, 157 Collins Ave
Bubblegum pink and chrome catch the mid-century afterglow of Capone’s era—places where coffee cooled while conversations stayed low. The color pops against muted history. Best: 35mm, f/4, ISO 400–800 indoors, 1/60s – natural perspective, ambient energy with slight motion in light trails.
Playa Miami Beach, 465 Ocean Dr
Ocean Drive’s sand was Capone’s occasional escape—open, sun-bleached, indifferent to secrets carried on the tide. Foreground grains meet distant deco towers in layered light. Best: 16-35mm @24mm, f/8, ISO 100 + polarizer, 1/500s – saturated blues, sharp from sand to skyline, frozen surf.
